Rotary 1934 - 1940

Rotary club in our town was founded on 28 January 1934th , and chartered 18th May next year. The founder and first president of the club was Arthur Burda (1894-1984), a prominent citizen of Banja Luka, businessman and honorary Polish consul. The club was active until the Second World War, that in 1941 spreaded in our country. The last president of the club at that time was a famous painter, ethnologist and director of the Museum Spiridon Spiro Bocaric (1876-1941).

Renewed Club 1999...

After more than half a century, the rotary idea in Banja Luka is free again at the end of the twentieth century. With the cordial help of a friends from Novi Sad and Belgrade's Rotary Club, Dr. Momcilo Biuković on 14 December 1998. called first meeting convened by the Initiative Committee for the establishment, ie, the renewal of the Rotary Club of Banja Luka. The next months were carried out all necessary activities of registration, election authorities and the definition of action, which resulted in the charter, or admission to the world community of Rotary clubs at second November 1999.
