Centrally situated in the heart of the city, the Hotel Imperial is within walking
distance of such renowned sites as the Vienna State Opera: the oldest theatrical
institution in the German-speaking world, the Musikverein: one of the top three
concert halls in the world, and St. Stephen's Cathedral, consecrated in 1147.
Equally accessible is Vienna's best shopping. The city is renowned for Swarovski crystal, Augarten porcelain, linen, and quilts-along with the Imperial Torte. These items, in addition to designer boutiques like Gucci, Prada, YSL, Armani, Valentino, and more, are just a ten minute walk from the hotel.
General shopping hours are Monday-Saturday 10am to 7pm. Shops are closed on Sunday. During the Christmas holidays, nearly all shops and restaurants are closed on December 25th and 26th.
Many tours are available around the city. The "Grand City Tour" is an exceptional way to see the entire city, while the Art Nouveau, Vienna Woods, Danube Panorama, and Wachau Danube Valley tours provide an in-depth examination of particular Viennese treasures.
