Projektziel: Since 2012 RC Sarajevo has established “Rotary Scholarship for Excellence” project, with the purpose of supporting and awarding excellence in education and promoting RI and its mission to the local community. Project starts every new school year and it is implemented in cooperation with 7 High Schools including SOS Kinderdorf in Sarajevo. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had to cancel our concert this year, which was scheduled for March 21 st 2020, and the number available scholarships had to be reduced. However, due to an excellent quality of applicants from the last years, and a strong underlying need and importance of this project, with support of our sponsors and hopefully the District, we plan to again increase the budget for upcoming Rotarian year to at least pre- Covid-19 levels. For the Rotarian year 2020/21 our goal is to grant scholarships for 20 high school students through trustworthy web application and interviewing procedure, where we expect to have around 60-80 applicants. Scholarships are awarded to the talented students for their excellence in curricular and extracurricular activities. Each student will receive 100,00 BAM/month on its banking account or the banking account of its parents for 9 consecutive months. The remaining amount will be used on organising and promoting co-founding event “Concert for Excellence”.
